The Spirit of Giving

This past weekend our family got to join Marc's work with their Christmas project! Every year The Center for Children and Families has a huge Christmas project for the families in their programs that can't afford to give their children any type of Christmas. This year a local radio station joined with them and plugged their project for a week at the mall and had people donate money or toys to the project. Well, on Saturday the trailer that was at the mall with the radio station delivered the goodies to Marc's work and all the families from Marc's work unloaded and sorted thru the presents. It was such a blessing for our family to get to help with, and I couldn't have been more proud of our kids has they helped get the toys off the trailer, sort, and bag them. I heard only a few, "Can I have this?" And when we told them no and why there was not complaining. This is a wonderful time of year to remember others and to remember it is better to give than receive. These two pictures are a shot of the toys piled up on the floor that we unloaded off of the trailer.
